10:00 am – 10:45 am Tartan Tots- Baby & Me Highland Parented Class Dalhousie Community Centre - Dance Studio Welcome to Tartan Tots – A Highland Dance Introduction for You and Your Little One!
This program is perfect for children aged 2-4 and their parents who want a dynamic, positive, and playful introduction to Highland dance, general movement, and flexibility, all while building confidence and body awareness.
Designed with a welcoming and energetic approach, Tartan Tots nurtures the bond between dancer and caregiver. Through fun, vibrant, and engaging activities, your child will develop resilience, confidence, and foundational dance skills.
Over the course of 10 weeks, you and your child will learn more than 10 Highland movements and essential general dance techniques. At the end of the session, you’ll see a visible increase in your child’s confidence.
You’ll love the kind and enthusiastic teachers who make you feel like part of the community right away. To make it as convenient as possible, this program allows one caregiver to bring more than one child, with non-walking siblings under 1 attending for free.

Or maybe you used to dance and are looking for a fun, gentle ease back into it? Highland Pulse is a combination of traditional movements and dances with a great cardio and strength based workout!
Sessions run for 10 weeks and are ongoing throughout the year.
Attire: workout wear and running or dance shoes.

4:30 pm – 5:30 pm New Dancers 7+ & Beginner Triwood Community Centre - Foothills Room Open to dancers new to Highland, aged 7 & Older. Both recreational and future competitors learn the basics of Highland technique, traditional dances, cross training, proprioception and physical literacy in an engaging, supportive environment. Dancers will leave class muscle-tired and soul-happy!
